Silvestica Green Forest AB (Silvestica) is a long-term forestry fund for institutional investors founded by SEB, Hesselmanska Stiftelse and CRK in the spring 2017.
Silvestica invests in the asset class “forestry” through the acquisition of forest real estate in Sweden, Finland and the Baltic States.
Silvestica shall manage and improve its forest ownership in a responsible and sustainable manner in order to achieve strong increases in value and stable direct yields within the framework of SEB’s Sustainability Policy and in accordance with SEB’s Industry Policy for forest management.
Forest holdings are certified by the forest certification systems FSC® and PEFC™ whose criteria are guiding the forestry industry towards a comprehensive environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
Silvestica and its subsidiaries are managed by CRK Forest Management AB.
In Sweden Silvesticas forest holdings is located in Värmland, Jämtland, Västernorrland, Västerbotten, Norrbotten and Halland all together 46 000 hectares acquired during 2019-2021.
Silvestica owns aprox. 46 000 hectares of forest land in Finland acquired mainly from UPM during 2017 and 2018, and from private forest owners and communities during 2018 – 2021.
In the Baltic states Silvestica owns aprox. 14 000 hectares of forest in Lithuania acquired in 2017 – 2019 and also aprox.14 000 hectares of forest land in Latvia acquired in 2018 – 2021.
Silvesticas total forest holdings adds up to 120 000 hectares.
